As part of my degree, I wrote and illustrated my own children’s picture book. The story follows a shy cat as she journeys to a apple tree and has to face many of her fears along the way to find her bark. Links and themes include friendship, autism, anxiety and confidence building.

This project allowed me to experiment with a limited colour palette, expressive type, texture and character design.
